Attorney JoAnn Holmes of HOLMES@LAW, LLC is excited to support the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry. The pantry helps neighbors in need of food, prescription and utility assistance, counseling and job skills training as they work toward greater financial stability. Throughout the year, the Coop supports Snellville, Loganville and Grayson families with healthy groceries. And, during the summer, it provides nutritious lunches for children of low-income families. We are proud, regular volunteers with the Coop, and you are invited to help serve this great organization!

JoAnn Holmes Volunteers with Gwinnett High Schools' Regional Mock Trial Competition

It was a great pleasure for attorney JoAnn Holmes of HOLMES@LAW, LLC to volunteer for service at Gwinnett County's High School Mock Trial Competition at the Gwinnett County Courthouse in Lawrenceville on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Each year, local teens prepare to prosecute and defend a mock case. It's great a opportunity for aspiring attorneys to practice opening and closing arguments, witness direct and cross examinations, present evidence, and argue objections. We have wonderful future attorneys in training amongst the students at Gwinnett County High Schools.

JoAnn Holmes Presents to Gwinnett Women's Small Business Collective

Attorney JoAnn Holmes of HOLMES@LAW, LLC presented "5 Things to Know for Small Business" to the Gwinnett Women's Small Business Collective. The discussion included legal tips for branding, advertising, contract enforceability, and risk management. Jo also explained the importance of setting a sound legal foundation to both attact investors, and exit a venture at a premium.

With over 16 years in practice, Ms. Holmes has managed IP portfolios in over 130 countries and territories, and negotiated licenses for businesses with products in over 70 countries. She is a regular invited speaker on intellectual property, technology, licensing, advertising and social media. Jo has presented for the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Georgia State Bar, and Cornell Law School. In addition, she's served as an Adjunct Professor of Law, and written on legal issues for the American Bar Association.​
